英文簡介(Biography)
Cheng-Liang Hsu received the B.S. degree in Electronic Engineering from Chung Yuan Christian University, Taoyuan, Taiwan, in 1996, the M.S. degree in Electronic Engineering from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taipei, Taiwan, in 1998, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan, in 2005.
From 2000 to 2003, he was an Engineer with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), where he worked on CMOS low-voltage devices, low-k dielectric technologies, and 0.13-μm copper interconnect processes. From 2003 to 2005, he served as an Associate Researcher at the Materials Research Laboratories, Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), conducting research on nanoscale material synthesis and semiconductor-related technologies. He joined Ming Chi University of Technology as an Assistant Professor in 2005 and subsequently joined the Department of Electrical Engineering, National University of Tainan, where he served as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor, and Chair of the Department (2019–2025). Since August 2026, he has been a Professor with the Graduate Institute of Advanced Semiconductor Technology, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taipei, Taiwan.
Dr. Hsu has published more than 100 SCI-indexed journal papers. His research interests include semiconductor devices, nanomaterials, gas sensors, humidity sensors, optical sensors, solar cells, piezoelectric energy harvesting, and advanced sensing technologies. He has been recognized among the World's Top 2% Scientists compiled by Stanford University and Elsevier for five consecutive years (2020–2024), reflecting his sustained scientific impact and research contributions.
