I am a PhD candidate in Economics at the Department of Econometrics, Statistics, and Applied Economics of the University of Barcelona. My research interests focus on the intersection of Public Economics, Transport, Urban, and Empirical Methods. In particular, I am very keen in understand the effects of infrastructure on people, firms, and the environment.
Before beginning my PhD, I worked for more than 10 years in different research and financial oriented positions in private and public institutions such as the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB), the Ministry of Finance in Mexico (SHCP), Banorte Financial Group, CEMEX, and the Central Bank of Mexico. I am still working as an international consultant in different projects for the World Bank (WB), the IADB, the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), and other think tank, research agencies, and private consulting firms in Europe.
