If you want a sleek, high-performance open-ear gaming headset with ultra-low latency and massive battery life for solo immersion, choose Cleer ARC 3; if you need a complete family bundle that lets multiple people watch TV together without audio lag or complicated wiring, choose SIMOLIO JH-747D. This isn't a close call between two similar gadgets; these are tools designed for completely different scenarios. One is a precision instrument for the individual gamer or commuter who values situational awareness and long play sessions, while the other is a communal solution built specifically to bring silence and shared sound to a living room full of people.
• Cleer ARC 3: Its biggest strength is the combination of open-ear design and 50-hour battery life, making it perfect for marathon gaming or all-day wear; its trade-off is the lack of passive noise isolation since it doesn't seal the ear canal.
• SIMOLIO JH-747D: Its biggest strength is the six-headphone bundle with independent volume controls, solving the problem of shared viewing for groups like families or seniors; its trade-off is the bulkier over-ear design which lacks the portability of open-ear buds.
• Who each pick is for: The Cleer ARC 3 is for the single user who wants to game or listen to media without blocking out the world, while the SIMOLIO JH-747D is for households where multiple people, including elderly relatives, need to watch TV silently together.
The Cleer ARC 3 is engineered for the person who refuses to compromise on battery life or situational awareness. With an impressive 50 hours of total playtime—10 hours from the earbuds alone and another 40 from the charging case—it eliminates the anxiety of running out of power mid-session. For someone who spends hours streaming movies, playing VR games, or commuting, this endurance is a game-changer. You won't find yourself hunting for a charger every evening. The device features a 16.2mm driver that supports Dolby Atmos and Snapdragon Sound, delivering spatial audio that feels immersive even though the earpieces sit outside your ear canal.
This product shines brightest for the individual gamer or tech enthusiast who needs to stay connected to their surroundings. The open-ear design allows you to hear traffic, conversations, or household noises while enjoying pristine audio. If you are an elderly person who prefers true wireless earbuds for elderly users but worries about safety, the open-ear style is ideal because you never lose touch with reality. Furthermore, the inclusion of a USB-C dongle ensures ultra-low latency under 30ms, which is critical for competitive gaming on consoles like PS5 or PC. You can plug the dongle in and start playing immediately without complex setup, making it accessible even for those less comfortable with technology.

However, this headset is not for everyone. Because it is an open-ear design, it does not block out external noise passively. If you plan to use these in a loud office or on a noisy subway, they might struggle to mask the environment compared to closed-back headphones. Additionally, the focus is heavily on performance and connectivity rather than group sharing. There is no mechanism here to link multiple pairs of earbuds together for a shared experience. If your primary goal is to share a movie night with three other family members, this unit will leave you alone in the dark. It is a solo device first and foremost, optimized for one person's high-fidelity enjoyment.
The SIMOLIO JH-747D exists to solve a specific social problem: how to watch television together without disturbing others or forcing everyone to listen at the same volume. It comes as a comprehensive bundle containing six wireless headphones and a single transmitter. This makes it an exceptional choice for large families, senior care facilities, or anyone hosting a gathering where silent viewing is desired. Each headphone operates independently, meaning you can adjust the volume for each listener individually. An elderly relative with hearing loss can crank their volume up while a child watching the same show keeps theirs low, all without affecting the others. This level of control is impossible with standard Bluetooth speakers or single-pair systems.
For the elderly, this system offers a practical bridge to modern entertainment. Many seniors struggle with the complexity of pairing devices or managing multiple remotes. The SIMOLIO JH-747D simplifies this by using a dedicated 2.4GHz RF connection for TV watching, which avoids the audio delay often found in standard Bluetooth connections. The description notes "No Audio Delay," ensuring that lip-sync issues do not ruin the experience. The headphones are over-ear with soft cushions, providing a secure fit for extended viewing sessions. With a 20-hour battery life per unit, they last through multiple episodes or days of light use before needing a recharge. The ability to switch to Bluetooth mode also means you aren't limited to just the TV; you can stream music from a phone or tablet seamlessly.
The trade-offs here revolve around portability and personalization. These are bulky over-ear headphones, not the lightweight earbuds some users prefer for mobility. They are clearly designed to stay in one place—the living room—rather than be carried around in a pocket. While the 20-hour battery is solid, it pales in comparison to the 50-hour total capacity of the Cleer ARC 3. Furthermore, the system relies on the included transmitter, which must be plugged into the TV's optical, RCA, or AUX output. If your TV lacks these ports, you will need adapters, whereas the Cleer ARC 3 works more broadly with mobile devices and gaming consoles via a simple dongle. This is a home-centric solution, not a travel companion.
• Best for Battery Life → Cleer ARC 3: With 50 hours of total playback versus the SIMOLIO's 20 hours per unit, the Cleer wins decisively for long-term usage without charging.
• Best for Group Listening → SIMOLIO JH-747D: Only the SIMOLIO provides six headphones and independent volume controls, making it the only viable option for family or group TV viewing.
• Best for Situational Awareness → Cleer ARC 3: The open-ear design of the Cleer allows you to hear your environment, a crucial safety feature for outdoor activities or walking.
• Best for Low Latency Gaming → Cleer ARC 3: The sub-30ms latency via the USB-C dongle is tailored for competitive gaming and VR, offering a tighter sync than standard RF TV headphones.
• Best Value for Families → SIMOLIO JH-747D: Buying one bundle gets you six headsets, saving money compared to buying six separate pairs of individual earbuds.
• Best for Comfort (Open Ear) → Cleer ARC 3: For users who hate the feeling of sealed ears or pressure, the open-ear design offers a breathable, lightweight alternative.
• Best for Hearing Impaired Users → SIMOLIO JH-747D: Independent volume control per headphone is a superior feature for mixed hearing abilities within a household.
• Best Portability → Cleer ARC 3: The compact carrying case and lightweight design make the Cleer easy to toss in a bag, unlike the stationary SIMOLIO transmitter setup.
After weighing the specifications and real-world applications of both devices, I would buy the Cleer ARC 3 for my personal daily use. The 50-hour battery life and open-ear design offer a versatility that fits my lifestyle perfectly, whether I am gaming late at night or listening to podcasts while keeping an eye on the kids. However, for a specific demographic, the choice changes entirely. If I were shopping for elderly parents who want to enjoy movies together without shouting over the TV, I would unequivocally recommend the SIMOLIO JH-747D. Its ability to provide silent, synchronized audio for up to six people with individual volume adjustments makes it the most thoughtful gift for elderly family members who value comfort and ease of use. Both are excellent tools, but they serve fundamentally different masters: one serves the individual's desire for freedom, and the other serves the community's need for shared silence.
Yes, the Cleer ARC 3 is suitable for elderly users who prioritize safety and situational awareness due to its open-ear design, allowing them to hear ambient sounds while listening.
While primarily designed for TV with its 2.4GHz RF connection to ensure no audio delay, it can also connect via Bluetooth to phones or PCs, though the latency may vary slightly compared to dedicated gaming earbuds.
Both offer distinct advantages; the Cleer ARC 3 uses Dolby Atmos and Snapdragon Sound for a spacious, immersive feel, while the SIMOLIO JH-747D focuses on clarity and balanced output across multiple listeners with 3 EQ modes.
The SIMOLIO JH-747D includes a transmitter with multiple input options including Optical, RCA, and AUX, ensuring it works with almost any TV regardless of age, provided it has one of these outputs.
