I have been a social worker in Minnesota since 2002 & a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker since 2005. I have a strong understanding of Minnesota's child welfare system and understand what it means to support children, youth, and families who are struggling to meet basic needs and who are working to heal, grow, & thrive in their families and in their lives. 

My philosophy of clinical supervision and my approach to social work practice are trauma-informed and strengths-based. My clinical supervision style is informed by my work in direct practice with children, youth, and families  and my experience working in the child welfare system.  My clinical knowledge and practice skills empower me to be effective in my clinical work with adolescents and families. Additionally, I bring my clinical knowledge and skills to my role as a clinical supervisor.  I also have significant policy knowledge & supervisory experience at the macro level in child welfare.

My clinical practice experience has  focused primarily on serving the needs of children, adolescents, and families. I have worked in several settings, both small non-profits and larger organizations. I have expertise in policies and practices in child welfare including foster care and permanency.
