Clearplate ("we", "us") is a food and fitness tracking app. This policy explains what information the app handles and how. Clearplate works without an account, shows no ads, and does not sell your data.
Information stored on your device
Your food diary, goals, and settings are stored locally on your device. If you create an optional account, this information can be synced to our cloud provider so you can use it across devices.
Account information
If you choose to create an account, we store your email address to enable sign-in and cloud sync. You can use the app fully without an account.
Food database searches
When you search for a food or look up a barcode, your search term or barcode is sent to the Open Food Facts service (openfoodfacts.org) to return nutrition results. We do not attach your identity to these requests.
Subscriptions
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. We do not receive or store your payment details.
Information we do not collect
Clearplate does not collect your name, contacts, photos, or precise location. We do not use third-party advertising or sell personal information.
Children
Clearplate is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
