ClearCaff allows users to record information such as:
Drink names
Estimated caffeine amounts
Drink volume
Date and time of consumption
Custom drink presets
Caffeine half-life and sleep-threshold preferences
Bedtime and notification preferences
This information is stored locally on the user’s device using an SQLite database. ClearCaff does not require an account or upload caffeine logs to our servers.
If a user voluntarily connects Health Connect, ClearCaff may request read-only access to recent sleep-session information.
ClearCaff uses this information to calculate and display recent sleep-duration averages and compare sleep patterns with caffeine timing.
ClearCaff:
Requests access only after an explicit user action
Reads sleep-session information only
Does not write or modify Health Connect records
Does not sell health information
Does not use health information for advertising
Does not share health information with AdMob, RevenueCat, Firebase, or other advertising services
Processes the retrieved sleep information on the device
Health Connect access can be revoked at any time through the device’s Health Connect settings.
Use of information received from Health Connect will comply with the Health Connect Permissions Policy.
ClearCaff uses Firebase Crashlytics to detect crashes and improve reliability. Crashlytics may process information such as:
Crash stack traces
App version
Device model
Operating-system version
Application state at the time of a crash
Installation or diagnostic identifiers
Technical performance information
We do not intentionally include caffeine logs or Health Connect sleep records in crash reports.
Firebase processes diagnostic information according to the Google Privacy Policy and Firebase privacy documentation.
Free users may see advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may process information such as:
Advertising identifiers
IP address
Device and application information
Ad impressions, interactions, and performance
Approximate location derived from an IP address
Consent choices
ClearCaff requests consent where required and currently requests non-personalized ads from the advertising SDK. Google may still process limited device and contextual information to deliver, measure, prevent fraud, and secure advertisements.
Health Connect information and locally stored caffeine logs are not provided to AdMob.
Users with an active ClearCaff Pro subscription do not receive advertisements within the App.
Google’s handling of advertising data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
ClearCaff uses Google Play Billing and RevenueCat to provide and manage subscriptions.
These services may process:
Purchase and subscription status
Product purchased
Transaction identifiers
Subscription renewal and expiration information
App-specific anonymous customer identifiers
Country, currency, and storefront information
Technical information needed to validate purchases
ClearCaff does not directly receive or store complete payment-card details. Payments are processed by Google Play.
RevenueCat processes subscription information according to its Privacy Policy.
Information is processed to:
Calculate estimated active caffeine
Predict when caffeine may fall below the selected sleep threshold
Maintain drink history and custom presets
Generate insights and local reports
Provide caffeine-cutoff reminders
Display optional sleep comparisons
Verify and restore Pro subscriptions
Display advertisements to free users
Detect crashes, prevent abuse, and improve reliability
Comply with legal and platform requirements
ClearCaff does not sell personal information or health information.
Core caffeine logging and calculations operate offline.
Drink history, custom presets, preferences, and generated calculations are stored on the user’s device. We do not operate a cloud account system for this information.
Internet access may still be used by:
Google AdMob
RevenueCat and Google Play Billing
Firebase Crashlytics
Advertising, purchase validation, and crash reporting may be unavailable without an internet connection. Core caffeine tracking remains available.
ClearCaff may request notification permission to provide caffeine-cutoff reminders. Notifications are optional and can be disabled through the App or device settings.
ClearCaff may share limited technical information with service providers only as necessary to operate the applicable feature:
Google AdMob for advertisements
RevenueCat and Google Play for subscriptions
Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting
We do not share caffeine logs or Health Connect sleep information with advertising providers.
Information may also be disclosed when legally required, to protect users, investigate fraud, or enforce applicable rights.
Local caffeine information remains on the device until the user deletes individual records, clears the App’s data, or uninstalls ClearCaff.
Users can revoke Health Connect access through Health Connect settings. ClearCaff does not maintain a server-side copy of Health Connect information.
Crash, advertising, and subscription providers may retain information according to their respective policies and legal obligations.
