Clear Privacy Policy

TODOIST

By using Clear it is necessary for us to have access to read and modify some of the information on your Todoist account. This includes, but is not limited to, the reading of the following data:

  • Tasks

  • Projects

  • Comments

  • Filters

The gathered data will only ever be used locally within the application, where it is displayed to the user. It will be stored in a cache for faster access during the time of which the application is installed, and all data will be deleted upon logging out or removing the app.

Clear is also able to modify certain data on your account. These modifications might include, but is not limited to:

  • Deleting tasks

  • Modifying tasks

  • Creating new tasks

Note that none of these actions will ever be performed without explicitly being requested by the user.

Also note that Clear has no access to actions that can be performed on your account directly, such as deleting or modifying your account.

No other data from your phone will be accessed by Clear, and the required Todoist access levels are data:read_write and data:delete.

While logging into the application your password and email is never stored, and will be directly sent to Todoist for verification. The returned token is what Clear uses to verify your account from then on. This token will be deleted upon logging out or when removing the application from your device.


MICROSOFT TODO

By using Clear it is necessary for us to have access to read and modify some of the information on your Outlook/Todo account. This includes, but is not limited to, the reading of the following data:

  • Tasks

  • Folders

  • Groups

The gathered data will only ever be used locally within the application, where it is displayed to the user. It will be stored in a cache for faster access during the time of which the application is installed, and all data will be deleted upon logging out or removing the app.

Clear is also able to modify certain data on your account. These modifications might include, but is not limited to:

  • Deleting tasks

  • Modifying tasks

  • Creating new tasks

Note that none of these actions will ever be performed without explicitly being requested by the user.

Also note that Clear has no access to actions that can be performed on your account directly, such as deleting or modifying your account.

Tasks.Read, Tasks.ReadWrite, User.Read and User.ReadWrite.

GOOGLE CALENDAR

Clear gives you the ability to see your Google Calendar events in your agenda alongside your other tasks, which requires access to your Calendar. This includes the reading of the following information:

  • Events

  • Calendars

  • Account email address

Clear will also allow you to modify certain aspects of your Calendars. These might include things like:

  • Modifying, creating and deleting events

  • Modifying, creating and deleting Calendars

Note that none of these actions will ever be performed without explicitly being requested by the user.

Also note that Clear has no access to actions that can be performed on your Google/Calendar account directly, such as deleting or modifying your account.

Clear will cache the data from your Calendars locally for the duration of the time the app is installed on your device, however this information will never leave the device other than when communicating with Google's servers. Clear cannot read passwords entered through the app while logging in.


Any cached data for either account type can be deleted in your Device Settings->Application Manager.
