-Stormwater Management in Lappeenranta: The city of Lappeenranta has integrated infrastructure and nature-based solutions in its stormwater management program to ensure high water quality standards for Lake Saimaa, addressing challenges posed by climate change.
-Water Protection Enhancement Programme (2019–2023): Launched by Finland's Ministry of the Environment, this program aims to reduce nutrient and harmful emissions, rehabilitate watercourses, and bolster research and development efforts to combat water quality issues.
