CleanJunk Plus is designed with a privacy-first architecture: all file processing, junk scanning, duplicate detection, image compression, and privacy vault encryption occur strictly on your local device. To provide our core device optimization and file management services, CleanJunk Plus requests specific Android permissions. Below is a detailed explanation of why each permission is required:
A. All Files Access & Storage (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE)
Purpose: Required for the Deep Junk Cleaner, Duplicate File Remover, Photo Compressor, WhatsApp Cleaner, and Categorized File Manager.
How It Works: The app scans your local storage to identify obsolete cache files, temporary log files, empty directories, duplicate files, and media taking up excessive space.
Privacy Guarantee: All scanning and calculations are performed locally on your device. Files are only deleted after you review them and provide explicit confirmation. No files or file names are ever transmitted to any remote servers.
B. Biometric Authentication (USE_BIOMETRIC, USE_FINGERPRINT)
Purpose: Used exclusively for unlocking the Privacy Vault.
How It Works: Biometric authentication is handled entirely by your device’s native Android security framework (BiometricPrompt). CleanJunk Plus never captures, processes, or stores your biometric fingerprints or facial scan data.
C. Device & Battery Diagnostics (BATTERY_STATS, Hardware Info)
Purpose: Used to display real-time RAM utilization, battery level, battery temperature, charging status, and device model.
How It Works: This diagnostic data is read from local system APIs to display optimization tips and is never sent over the internet.
No Personal Data Collection: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, location data, or contact lists.
No Cloud Upload of Media: Your photos, videos, audio files, documents, and vault files remain solely on your device. We do not operate external servers that receive or process your files.
No Data Selling: We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties, data brokers, or advertisers.
CleanJunk Plus does not integrate invasive third-party tracking or data-harvesting SDKs. If standard Google Play Services (such as Google Play Licensing or crash reporting) are utilized, they operate under Google’s standard Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
You retain complete control over your files.
When you use the cleaning tools (Junk Cleaner, Duplicate Remover, WhatsApp Cleaner, File Manager), files are permanently deleted from your local storage only after you confirm the action.
You can revoke permissions or uninstall the application at any time, which removes all application cache and local vault encryption keys from your device.
CleanJunk Plus is a general audience utility application and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We implement industry-standard encryption practices. Files stored in the Privacy Vault are protected with AES encryption on your device's local storage and can only be unlocked with your local device credentials.
