Effective Date: 10/16 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how deep clean (“the App”) handles information when you use its storage cleanup, file management, and application management features. References to “we,” “us,” and “our” mean the team responsible for deep clean.
1. Information Used for Storage Cleanup
deep clean accesses files and related storage information to scan your device, display cleanup results, and help you remove unwanted items. This information may include file names, locations, types, sizes, and modification dates.
File scanning and cleanup take place locally on your device. We do not upload your files, file metadata, or scan results to our servers or provide them to advertising services.
You choose which files to remove and confirm the deletion. Please review your selections carefully, as deleted files may not be recoverable.
2. All Files Access
The App uses the All Files Access permission (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) to scan and manage files across shared-storage folders outside its own directory, subject to Android’s storage restrictions.
This access supports the App’s file management and cleanup features. It does not give the App unrestricted access to other applications’ protected private data.
You can revoke this permission through Android settings. Without it, some scanning and cleanup features may be limited or unavailable.
3. Installed Application Information
The App Manager uses installed application information to display apps on your device and help you manage or uninstall unwanted applications. Information used for this feature may include application names, package names, icons, and version information.
The QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES permission allows the App to discover installed applications for this purpose. Installed application information is processed locally. We do not upload this inventory to our servers, sell it, or share it for advertising or analytics monetization.
When you select an application for removal, the App opens Android’s uninstall confirmation process. Package visibility does not authorize silent uninstallation.
4. Foreground Services and Notifications
deep clean uses foreground services to continue user-initiated scanning or cleanup when you switch to another app or leave the App’s screen.
An ongoing notification provides information about the active task. The service runs for the requested operation and stops when the task finishes or is cancelled. You can stop an active operation.
Foreground services run on your device. Their use does not mean that your files are uploaded to or processed by a remote server.
Where notification permission is requested, it supports task progress and completion updates. You can manage notification settings through Android.
5. Advertising and Third-Party Processing
deep clean displays advertisements supplied by third-party advertising services.
Depending on the advertising provider, SDK configuration, and your privacy choices, these services may process information such as:
- IP address and an approximate location inferred from it.
- Advertising identifiers and other permitted device identifiers.
- Device model, operating system, and app information.
- Advertisement views, clicks, and other interactions.
- Diagnostic and performance information.
Advertising providers may transmit and process this information outside your device to deliver ads, measure their effectiveness, prevent fraud, and maintain their services.
Your files, scan results, and installed application inventory are not provided to advertising services. The local-processing statements in this policy apply to those cleaning and app management data, not to all information processed by advertising SDKs.
Advertising providers handle information according to their own privacy policies. Where required, we obtain consent before enabling processing that depends on consent. You can manage available advertising privacy controls through your device settings and any consent options presented in the App.
6. No User Accounts
deep clean does not require registration or provide a user account system. You do not need to submit your name, email address, or login credentials to use its cleaning and application management features.
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use this information to respond and address your request. Our email provider may process these communications to deliver and store them.
7. Storage, Retention, and Deletion
Files remain on your device unless you choose to delete them. Scan information, preferences, and other operational data saved by the App are stored locally.
You can clear local app data through Android settings or uninstall the App. Removal of app-specific data is subject to Android’s storage and backup behavior. Clearing the App’s data does not itself delete your other files in shared storage.
We retain support correspondence only as long as necessary to resolve your request, complete relevant follow-up, or satisfy applicable legal obligations.
Advertising providers apply their own retention periods and deletion procedures. Clearing local app data or uninstalling deep clean does not automatically remove information already processed by those providers.
8. Security and Disclosure
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we handle to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss. No storage or communication system can guarantee complete security.
We do not sell your files, scan results, or installed application inventory.
We may disclose information we hold when required by applicable law or a valid legal request. This does not give us access to cleaning data that remains solely on your device.
9. Your Choices
You can control your use of deep clean by revoking storage access, managing notifications, adjusting available advertising settings, stopping active tasks, clearing app data, or uninstalling the App.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information we hold, withdraw consent, or object to certain processing.
Contact us to submit a privacy request. Because your files and cleaning data remain on your device, we cannot remotely retrieve or delete them for you.
10. Updates to This Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy when the App or our information practices change. The updated version will show a revised effective date.
Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before making relevant changes to how information is processed.
