This document explains how the CleanBit extension ("we" or "us") handles your information. Our guiding principle is to collect the minimum data necessary to provide our service and to delete it immediately after use.
1. Data We Process
To perform the background removal, we need to temporarily process two types of data:
Image Data: The specific image file that you right-click and choose to edit with our service.
Technical Data: Your IP address, which your browser automatically sends to our server to establish a connection for processing the image.
We do not collect any other personal data like your name, email, or Browse history.
2. How We Use Your Data (Our Single Purpose)
We process your data for the sole purpose of executing the core function of our extension:
To receive your selected image, remove its background on our server, and return the final image to you for download.
Your data is not used for any other purpose, such as advertising, analytics, or user tracking.
3. Data Retention and Security
Immediate Deletion: Your image file and IP address are permanently deleted from our servers as soon as the background removal process is complete. We do not store your data.
Security: We use standard industry security protocols to protect your data during the brief moment it is being transmitted and processed.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your data with any third parties. All processing is handled by our own service.
