Abstract: Developing remote blood pressure (BP) measurement algorithms using facial photoplethysmography (rPPG) is often limited by small datasets that lack clinical ground truth and realistic environmental variations. To address this, we introduce the CLBP-300 dataset, a comprehensive resource featuring simultaneous facial video recordings and reference physiological measurements, including systolic BP, diastolic BP, and heart rate (HR) captured via clinical electronic monitors—for 300 adult participants aged 18 to 65. Crucially, to reflect real-world challenges, the videos were intentionally captured in both indoor and outdoor environments alongside recorded illuminance (lux) values; this fluctuating lighting introduces visual noise that serves as a realistic limitation and a rigorous test for algorithm robustness. While a small validation sample of videos is publicly available to demonstrate data quality, the complete CLBP-300 dataset is highly restricted due to privacy concerns and can only be accessed by authorized researchers and institutions under a strict Data Use Agreement (DUA). 

Data Description

This data paper provides videos of adults captured from different camera sensors (iphone 16 and Nikon D5300) in inside and outside lighting environments. The collected data includes 300 video recordings (244 males and 56 females) with high-definition resolution. The data folder also contains an excel sheet file providing demographic attributes for each subject (age and gender), ground-truth measurements for Systolic Blood Pressure (SYSBP), Diastolic Blood Pressure (DIABP), and Heart Rate (HR), recorded from two electronic BP monitors (Rossmax and Omron), and ambient light intensity recorded in Lux. The CLBP-300 provides the research community with a diverse set of rPPG data suitable for real-world scenarios.
