Clavio — Privacy Policy

Clavio ("the app", "we") is a personal data vault that keeps your information stored locally on your device. Protecting your privacy is the core purpose of the app. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.
1. No account, no servers, no data collection
Clavio does not require an account or sign-in. The information you save — logins, bank cards, documents, personal notes and any photos you attach — is stored only on your device, in the app's private storage, and is protected behind your device's biometric lock. We do not operate any servers, and we do not collect, transmit, sell, or share the data you store. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it yourself.
2. Permissions the app uses
- Biometric: used only to lock and unlock the app. Authentication is handled by Android; we do not access or store any biometric data.
- Camera: optional, and only used when you choose to attach a photo to a document. Photos are stored locally on your device. The app is fully usable without granting camera access.
- Internet / network state: used only by Google Play's billing service to process the optional Clavio Pro purchase. The app does not use the network to send your stored data anywhere.
3. Backups (export and import)
You can export an encrypted backup file, secured with a key that you choose. You decide where that file is stored, and we never receive it. Importing a backup restores the data locally on your device. We have no access to your backups or your key. If you lose your key, the backup cannot be recovered.
4. Purchases (Clavio Pro)
The optional one-time "Clavio Pro" upgrade is processed by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment-card details; Google handles the transaction under Google's own Privacy Policy. The app only stores a local flag indicating that Pro has been unlocked.
5. Data sharing
We do not share your data with third parties. Other than Google Play (for the optional purchase) and Android system services (for biometric authentication), no third parties are involved in the app.
6. Security
Your data is kept in the app's private storage on your device and is gated behind your device's biometric authentication. Exported backups are encrypted with the key you provide. No method of storage is completely secure, so please safeguard your device and your backup key.
7. Children
Clavio is not directed to children and is intended for general audiences.
8. Your control over your data
You can edit or delete any entry at any time within the app. Uninstalling the app removes the data it stored on your device.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted at this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
