Welcome!
I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics at Lund University.
My primary research interests are in household finance and applied microeconomics. I study policy-relevant questions around the determinants of household saving and portfolio behaviour, and the degree of self-insurance against various sources of risk over the individuals’ life-cycle.
I am particularly interested in studying the implications of the demographic transition and the process of financial technology adoption on households’ finances and welfare, as well as the determinants of wealth and consumption inequality.
My research combines dynamic programming and structural estimation techniques, field experiments and quasi-experimental designs.
News:
With Elin Molin, I am co-organizing the 2nd Arne Ryde Workshop "Micro Data meet Macro Models" on August 22-23 in Lund, Sweden. Luigi Pistaferri and Michaela Pagel will be keynote speakers at the event.
