Privacy Policy for AI Pacekeepers

AI Pacekeepers (the "Extension") helps users view Claude and Codex usage limits, usage pace, and reset times in one browser side panel. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Extension processes and how that information is handled.
01 | INFORMATION THE EXTENSION PROCESSES
The Extension processes only the information required to provide its usage-monitoring features.
Authentication information: Existing session cookies and temporary access tokens from claude.ai and chatgpt.com.
Account identifiers: A Claude organization identifier or ChatGPT account identifier when required by the services' usage endpoints.
Usage information: Utilization percentages, limit windows, reset times, plan type, and available usage credits returned by Claude and ChatGPT.
Extension preferences: The selected interface language and which service panels are enabled.
The Extension does not request or process payment card numbers, billing addresses, transaction histories, health information, private messages, precise location, or general browsing history.
02 | HOW INFORMATION IS USED
Authentication information and account identifiers are used only to request usage information from the corresponding first-party service. Usage information is used only to display limits, remaining capacity, target pace, and reset times in the Extension's side panel.
The Extension does not use this information for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness, lending, or any purpose unrelated to its usage-monitoring function.
03 | STORAGE AND RETENTION
Authentication cookies, access tokens, account identifiers, and usage responses are processed temporarily in browser memory and are not saved in extension storage.
Temporary request-header rules used to make authenticated requests are removed after each request completes. Usage information is refreshed while the side panel is open and is not retained as usage history.
Only the selected language and service-visibility preferences are stored locally using the Chrome storage API. These preferences can be removed by clearing the Extension's data or uninstalling the Extension.
04 | DATA SHARING AND EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION
The developer does not receive, collect, sell, or share the user's authentication information, account information, or usage information.
The Extension communicates only with the corresponding first-party HTTPS endpoints.
Claude: https://claude.ai authentication and usage information.
ChatGPT: https://chatgpt.com authentication and Codex usage information.
No developer-operated server, advertising network, analytics provider, data broker, or unrelated third party receives this information.
05 | PERMISSIONS
The Extension uses the following browser permissions solely for its stated purpose.
cookies: Reads existing Claude and ChatGPT authentication cookies needed to request usage information.
declarativeNetRequest: Temporarily attaches relevant authentication cookies to Extension-initiated requests and removes the rule after each request.
storage: Stores only language and visible-service preferences locally.
sidePanel: Displays the Extension's interface in the browser side panel.
Host access to claude.ai and chatgpt.com: Connects only to the services required to retrieve authentication and usage information.
06 | SECURITY
All communication with Claude and ChatGPT uses HTTPS. Authentication information is not exposed in the user interface, logged by the Extension, or sent to the developer. The Extension does not load or execute remote JavaScript or WebAssembly code.
07 | USER CHOICES
Users may disable either the Claude or Codex panel in the Extension settings. When a service is disabled, the Extension does not request usage information for that service. At least one service must remain enabled.
Users can stop all processing by closing or uninstalling the Extension. Signing out of Claude or ChatGPT prevents the Extension from retrieving usage information for that service.
08 | THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Claude is provided by Anthropic, and ChatGPT and Codex are provided by OpenAI. Use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.
AI Pacekeepers is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic or OpenAI.
09 | CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
This Privacy Policy may be updated if the Extension's features or data practices change. The "Last updated" date above identifies the latest revision. Any material change to data handling will also be disclosed through the Extension or its store listing as required.
