Welcome to Multicultural America! This course is meant to explore themes surrounding America and its diversity. We will be exploring America through four lenses: class, race, identity and gender, and religion. Along the way, we will ask and discuss many questions about this country, including: What does it mean to be an American? What is the "melting pot"? Is it a good thing? What does it mean that America is a "nation of immigrants"? What is the American Dream? Does it exist?
