Timi Levy is a professional violinist originally from Budapest, Hungary. Prior to moving to Parrsboro in 2007, she had performed with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, National Ballet, Alberta Ballet, Sarah Brightman and the Tea Party. In Calgary, she taught private violin to over 40 students at the Mount Royal College and her home. Prior to coming to Canada in 1998 to participate in master classes at the Banff Centre of the Arts, Timi had performed throughout Europe. Timi’s degree in music includes the Hungarian State Examination – Master’s equivalence, qualified artist, chamber and violin musician/instructor. Timi currently teaches and performs violin and fiddle in Parrsboro, Halifax, Amherst and surrounding areas. She is one of the organizers and performers of the annual Classics by the Bay Music Festival held in Parrsboro. Timi serves as concertmaster for the Prince Edward
Sonja Adams is a dynamic classical cellist and dedicated educator based in Saint John, New Brunswick, with a career spanning over 40 years. She is currently a member of Trio Acorde, which is actively touring the Maritimes and South America.
For 35 years, Adams served as the principal cellist of Symphony New Brunswick and the Saint John String Quartet. With the quartet, she performed on world-class stages across the United States, Europe, South America, Japan, Hong Kong, and China. Her discography includes five recordings that have earned critical acclaim, including a Juno nomination, multiple ECMA awards for Classical Album of the Year, and Music NB awards.
Adams has performed with leading ensembles such as the New Brunswick Summer Music Festival, Symphony Nova Scotia, the Scotia Festival Orchestra, and the Arcady Festival Orchestra in the U.S. Known for her expressive playing and musical leadership, she remains a sought-after collaborator and active performer.
