Moby Dick by Herman Melville
Moby Dick was published in 1851 by the American author Herman Melville. Moby Dick, narrated by whaling ship crew member Ishmael is about a ship's captain named Ahab who goes on a quest to get revenge on a giant white sperm whale that bit off his leg at the knee on a previous voyage. This story follows Ishmael as he endures on a journey with many shipmates, including Ahab and the most colorful character Queequeg, son of a South Sea chieftan, to find Moby Dick. The crew want money for a job well done, but the captain is maniacally seeking revenge over all else in this naturalist novel.
