Love Medicine is a Native American novel written by Louise Erdrich. The story is about five interconnected Ojibwe families, the Kashpaws and the Lamartines, who live on fictional reservations, a Chippewa reservation in North Dakota and another reservation in Minnesota. Love Medicine was published several times, the first time in 1984. Multiple editions were added, and the book was then published again in 1993 and 2009.
