Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell
Gone with the Wind is an epic war romance set during the civil war, 1865-1877. The novel focuses on the life of a true southern belle, Scarlett O’Hara. It also focuses on her time and struggles during the war and how she went from one extreme to another, from being the daughter of a wealthy Southern plantation owner to having very little and struggling to regain her place in society. But the biggest plot twist of all is Scarlett's love triangle with her neighbor Ashley Wilkes and blockade runner Rhett Butler.
