Counselling - Take your first steps to feeling better

"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change" (Carl Rogers).

How are you feeling?

Are you feeling down, depressed, hopeless? Is your sleep, concentration or appetite affected? Perhaps you’ve no motivation and feel tired all the time. Or are you anxious, panicky and worrying a lot? Perhaps your legs sometimes turn to jelly and your heart feels like it is going to pound out of your chest. Whether you’d describe yourself as suffering from Depression or Anxiety or your distress is something else entirely there is hope!!

I know because although I specialise in Anxiety and Depression I’ve worked with hundreds of people who are experiencing psychological distress. Whatever their difficulties, although each persons recovery is unique to them, people do get better.

Let me help

People are ‘relational’ we are ‘programmed’ by nature to seek support from others particularly in times of need but we often don’t because we think we will ‘burden’ other people with our troubles. But the truth is that by keeping all that distress to yourself you carry the weight of it on your own and that can feel like a very lonely and hopeless place to be….

The good news is that you can feel better.

With the right help and support you can begin to share the weight of your distress and begin understand yourself more deeply. This is where counselling can make all the difference…
