The opportunity to forge relationships and networking is heavily exposed as design and fabrication processes require team effort and likeminded groups willing to cooperate for a greater good. This makes away for many to connect with other companies or people who may serve as an aid or guide to a successful career as a professional.
Since structures such as buildings, roads, and bridges are always needed to built, this discipline allows many to travel around the world to explore and see extraordinary pieces of architecture as a job. Many end up participating in the creation of some of these beautiful structures, which are all for the benefit of humanity as a whole.

Although the answer to this question varies on job specification and assigned tasks, here are some responsibilities most Civil Engineers carry out on daily:
Plan and design transportation or hydraulic systems or structures utilizing design software or manual systems.
Manage and direct on-site construction processes, operations, maintenance, and design.
Lead or participate in surveying to develop installation lists or institute reference points and specific designations needed for soon to be construction.
Compute load requirements to assess technical aspects of structures to test its durability and safety limitations utilizing software. Determine design specifications for final product.
