Fredbear was one of the two mascots of Fredbear's Family Diner and was the previous face of Fazbear Entertainment prior to Freddy Fazbear. The character of Fredbear has a lengthy history: the current Fredbear was inspired by a real brown bear from a roadside show from the 30s. Fredbear is a very friendly bear who loves to tell dad jokes and sing with his best friend, Spring Bonnie. Much like his successor Freddy Fazbear, Fredbear is very well-spoken, almost grandfather like. But Fazbear Entertainment has a dark secret: Fredbear is possessed by two children: a boy named Dave Afton who got accidentally killed by Fredbear in a prank gone wrong and a girl named Cassidy who was killed by William Afton (Dave's father) and stuffed into the Fredbear suit. No longer on stage, Fredbear sits in the back of a Fazbear location. While Dave doesn't seek revenge, Cassidy is quite possibly the most vengeful and angry out of the six original victims of William Afton.
