Background

William O'Hare was born in the poor part of Metro City. His parents worked several jobs trying to keep themselves afloat and as soon as he was able, William began working too. It was at his first job where he met Frank "Mr. Smiles" Canidae, a mobian jackal who was the local crime boss. Frank would end up being the one who indoctrinated William into the criminal underworld.

From there, William rose up quickly in the ranks until he was the crime boss' second hand. As time went on, William became unsatisfied with how Frank ran his organization. One day, William double-crossed Frank, killing him and taking over his operation. From there, William only grew in power, taking over Metro City's other crime organizations before he ended up in control of Metro City's entire criminal underworld.

Using his influence and power, he opened Happyland, a successful amusement park. Happyland would end up becoming a front for his criminal operation. At some point in past, he found himself being pickpocketed by a young fox kit named Jinx. While he caught her, he was impressed by her enough to take her under his wing.
