Background

Nicole Ellidy was born as the only child of Dr. Ellidy, one of King Acorn’s former advisors. Together, she and her father shared many experiences, including Emerald Coast for their vacation, and visiting a Chao Garden. She also won first prize at the Empire City Science Fair. After learning of her father’s work on the Mobotropolis Grand Archive, which was designed as a government program, Nikki suggested making it available to the public. However, it was during one of her father’s experiments with ring energy that Nicole was digitized and transformed into an A.I. After this, Nicole became cold and emotionless until her handheld form was given to a young Sally Acorn. 

Though Nicole would retain memories of these events, it would be with a different perspective than after she gained sentience, which took place sometime after Sally fled to Knothole, taking Nicole with her. Eventually, she manifested her holographic form to Sally and demonstrated her first signs of real emotion by expressing a desire to see the stars. For the early part of her existence, Nicole spent time with the Freedom Fighters without being able to see the world as they saw it. However, after discovering how to manifest her holographic form and developing sentience, she made the most of her newfound lease on life.
