Background

Seth was the third son born to Adam and his second son, Eve, several years after they were kicked out of Eden and a few years after his older brother, Abel, was born. As the younger brother of Abel, Seth was often compared to Abel much like Cain was, especially after becoming a shepherd as a young man. Growing up, Seth spent most of his early life with his mom, helping her care for his younger siblings. Even when he became a shepherd, he would still make time to help his mother.

Shortly after becoming a shepherd, however, Abel was murdered by his older brother, Cain. Following this, the higher up angels of Heaven began looking to Seth to be Abel's replacement. Tremendous pressure was placed upon Seth into ensuring the future of humanity and despite the amount of pressure, Seth remained to loyal to Heaven up until he passed away from old age.

Because of his life-long servitude to Heaven, Seth ascended to Heaven as a winner.
