Background

Damian Carmen Abadeer was born during the Mushroom War as the youngest child and only son of Hunson Abadeer and Elise, being born five minutes after his twin, Marsha. While Elise was a human woman, Hunson was a demon lord of a hell-like dimension known as the Nightosphere. When Elise initially became pregnant, she saw how serious the Mushroom War was getting so she made a deal with Hunson that when the time came, he would take this new baby to live with him.

At the name, neither Hunson or Elise knew that she was going to end up having twins so it was very much a suprise when Elise finally gave birth. Despite this second unplanned baby, Hunson and Elise decided to stick to their deal. For the first few months of his life, Damian lived with his mother alongside Marsha as well as his eldest sister, Marceline. However, shortly after his mother got sick, Marsha and Damian were sent to live with his father.

Damian grew up in the Nightosphere with his father, Marsha, and his older sister, Sarah. Aside from his sisters, Damian didn’t have any friends. He mostly preferred to play with his sisters when they were all left to their own devices, even if the game being played was one of  Marsha's tea parties. His cousins often tormented him for "being wimpy" with his primary tormentor being Heather due to the number playdates that were arranged with Heather's mom and his aunt.

In addition to this, Hunson wasn’t always the nicest to him, often being one of the individuals he would lash out at. In addition, as his only son, Hunson did treat Damian slightly different compared to how he treated his daughters. Despite how his sisters were treated compared to him, he tried to not let this sour his relationship with them, even if he did wish that his father treated him like how he treated his twin.

When they became 12, Marsha began to change from being a sweet little girl to a nightmare of an angry teenager. This would end up having an affect on the relationship between her and Damian as she slowly began to push away from him. This would continue up until both teens were 16 after a massive fight with their dad.

After her soul was destroyed, Hunson uses dark magic to give Marsha a new soul. What nobody realized at the time, is that due to Damian and Marsha having "package deal" souls, the magic used to create Marsha's new soul permamently linked Marsha and Damian's souls together, making Damian immortal. Damian, along with Marsha and Sarah, run away from the Nightosphere and onto the surface world. Damian wandered alongside his sisters in the wastelands of the surface world for hundreds of years before they finally found a cottage that they ended up settling down in.
