Whenever I am trying to uninstall the application, it is showing the above things. I have gone through the steps the steps recommended for the problem. Installed the cleaner app but still it has not worked for me. I upgraded the citrix workspace from it previous version after which I was not able to open the instances for remote access pf the system. Please help and recommend suggestion. I have been trying for around 3-4 days but not been able to resolve the issue.

Since I will be running the script on a few hundred workstations which do not all have the same version will this command work universally to uninstall whatever version of the receiver happens to be on the workstation? If so, where would I find that executable? it is not in the %PATH% variable.

I am attempting to uninstall the citrix receiver from my computer. I had used it at a company a while back and recently started using the computer again. I keep getting an error reporting that the operation has failed and to contact the help desk. Other information says to use the received clean-up utility which is recommended for IT administrators.

I have a script that I wrote a few months back for the receiver plugin, perhaps it uses similar logic to the version you're deploying and can be adapted for it? Looks like many of the switches may be listed here -us/citrix-workspace-app-for-windows/install.html

He was the only one of my co-workers that had reported this issue to me.

First step was to look for what is different from his computer, and others at the office.

The difference seemed to be that he was running Windows 10 Enterprise, while others did not use Enterprise.

Differene nr 2 was that he used Direct Access.

So, I decided to reinstall my own Surface with Windows 10 Enterprise, and activate Direct Access for myself.

After reinstall, deployment of receiver with SSO enabled and enabling Direct Access I did some testing.

I got the same problem as my co-worker, high CPU from Receiver, drilled down on the process level, and found AuthManager service to be the sinner.

Next step, disable Direct Access, this resulted in no change, still high cpu, noisy fan, and short batterytime as a result.

Also tried with different versions of receiver, 4.3>4.6.

So, this concludes to Windows 10 Enterprise as the real sinner.

Opened a Case with Citrix during the troubleshooting.

Created some dump from receiver, sent to Citrix, and waited for feedback, my Citrix contact also tried reproduce the issue with no luck.

After a while the response from Citrix Dev came.

I seem to have a rather frustrating keyboard stutter problem which occurs intermittently when using my windows 10 PC. Most recently I have noticed it seems to occur after I've left citrix running on my PC for a few hours. When I type, whether it be in a notepad file, running a command from the windows+run, typing a URL in a browser there are occasions where it seems as though half my typing goes missing. It will either ignore a whole host of characters (stutter & pause) and leave some or start printing additional characters so the words make no sense. It is not resolved by restarting my PC. It will literally occur on the attempt to type my profile password at times.

So this turned out to be my keyboard. I had a wireless Logitech keyboard K750. Essentially there must have been some intermittent interference preventing the signal from reaching the bluetooth receiver.

Designed to provide access to virtualized desktops from any remote device, the Citrix receiver enables a centralized workspace for the user by integrating multimedia computing technology on multiple devices, including desktops, laptops, tablets, and smartphones.

Suppose an employee has left his laptop at home, and the data is in the Citrix Receiver, so they can work on any office device and begin from where they left off. Thus, it brings forth higher flexibility and productivity to employees and enterprises.

This issue extends from desktops, to laptops and to thin clients too and it often bugged me how often I spent entering my password twice each day.

With Caffeine for receiver, you install a lightweight application that runs in the system tray. This application automatically attaches to Receiver sessions (via the ICA Client Object) and sends a keep alive every minute to ensure the remote screen saver never kicks in. Leaving just the local secure screensaver to lock the users out.

You have a very nice website thanks for the help.

I am having trouble installing receiver 4.5.

I use SCCM to make a image where Receiver 4.5 is in.

When i use PVS to install the image the ADD Account screen (receiver keeps showing up).

We have used both the Citrix Receiver Cleanup Utility in addition to manually deleting all traces of the Citrix Receiver (program files & registry). Unfortunately, we have not been able to resolve this and reinstall the receiver.

Citrix creates software that allows the individuals of an enterprise to work and collaborate remotely regardless of device or network. The main areas the company works in are desktop and apps; Desktop as a Service (DaaS); networking and cloud; and Software as a service (SaaS).[86][87]

Many resources at Johns Hopkins are restricted to the campus network, which means you must use the Pulse Secure VPN or MyCloud to connect to them. Each of these solutions may have prerequisites such as use of Azure multi-factor authentication (MFA), installation of a Citrix receiver client, or the installation of our Pulse Secure VPN client.

Citrix services are intended for UC Berkeley enterprise applications. Citrix provides a secure one-stop shop for certain UC Berkeley applications not installed on your computer (e.g. CalPlanning). This eliminates compatibility and security issues, such as the need to run a specific web browser version for each application.

Citrix allows authorized users to run applications in a Windows-based remote environment. Access applications, desktops, and data easily and securely from any device, including tablets, PCs, and Macs. Mac users can access Windows-only MIT enterprise applications such as SAPgui. Note: An MIT Kerberos account is required to use the Citrix app. MIT VPN is required for off-campus connections.

Citrix official wording on Receiver:

The first self-service storefront for enterprise applications gives corporate users 247 on-demand access to the applications and business services that they need to work most efficiently. Citrix Receiver offers a rich, intuitive user experience for self-service IT that is as simple as turning on a TV.

Citrix Receiver is compliant with HDX Protocol built with the ICA (Independent Computing Architecture) Protocol. ICA protocol defines a way for data passage between server and clients. It sends keyboard and mouse input from the client to the remote server and receives screenshot updates on the client device. The traffic between the server and the client is handled by the receiver. HDX facilitates this set of processes by adding High Definition Experience to the Applications.

Receiver for Windows supports both ShareFile managed cloud storage and on-premises StorageZones. Requires ShareFile Enterprise set up for StorageZones, and the new ShareFile Sync Plug-in. You can find this new plug-in with your mycitrixID here.
