Keynote speakers and panel discussions will feature WV faith and other leaders discussing our state's energy history, cultural landscape, economic transition, and climate change impacts and solutions:

We are part of the national Citizens Climate Lobby initiative. This website serves to organize resources for West Virginians and facilitate action in our state!

We meet via Zoom the second Saturday of each month from noon-1:00pm. Contact morgantownccl@gmail.com if you have questions or woud like to join the meetings.

Policies we support:

  • Citizens Climate Lobby promotes a Carbon Fee & Dividend policy. We want our Members of Congress to sign on and support the "Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act."

  • Read our "New Day for the Coal Fields" White Paper, a proposal for using dividend revenues to support coal communities through a just transition into new jobs and healthy retirement.

What we do:

  • Lobby our Members of Congress

  • Write Op Eds and Letters to the Editor

  • Get Endorsements for the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act

  • Raise awareness and educate community members and leaders about climate change and solutions
