Adath Israel Congregation

"When you enter Jarson Education Center there is always something going on for our children and families. There are spiritual, musical and artistic activities happening regularly here.. When you walk the halls of Jarson Education Center you will see engaged children, dedicated teachers and interactive, hands on lessons. Every week is something new and exciting.

Our students begin learning how to read and decode Hebrew at a young age. As they progress they participate in a modern Hebrew curriculum and learn Hebrew as a living language through engaging stories, folktales and activities. They build their Hebrew vocabulary comprehension skills as well as grammar rules. They also take part in a prayer component so they can participate in prayer with understanding and reading fluency.

Our 5th and 6th grade classes each meet weekly with our Bnai MItzvah teacher, Mitch Cohen. Learning Trope gives students a lifelong skill that they will use forever. He also teaches them blessings for a Torah Aliyah and blessings before and after the Haftorah. Mitch puts his creative teaching methods to work to teach trope to our students.

Kindergarten through 2nd grade meet with Mitch Cohen for a special musical Tefillah each Sunday. They are introduced to prayers in an active way. Third through 7th grade meet in our Chapel each Sunday and the students lead the service.

Our Mazel Tots Program for Newborns through Kindergartners and their parents meets monthy on Sunday Morning. Each session begins with breakfast together followed by a lively music session. The morning concludes with a craft and social time for the children and their parents."
