I describe — in qualitative terms — two methods of determining smooth, Ricci flat metrics on K3, and a string duality which relates them. (This talk is based on the papers arXiv:1810.10540 and arXiv:2006.02435, jointly written by A. Tripathy and M. Zimet.)
