Title: Conformal Bootstrap and the 3D Critical Phenomena

Abstract:

The study of two dimensional conformal field theory(CFT) was a very fruitful interaction among high energy theory, statistical physics and mathematics. Now we are excited to continue the expedition to 3D CFTs, which describe important critical physics in the real world. Generic 3D CFTs cannot be solved algebraically. Instead we will resort to a new method : the numerical bootstrap. In this talk, I will give a general introduction to the modern conformal bootstrap program for higher dimensional CFTs. Then I will show how the critical exponents of the 3D Ising model, Super-Ising model, O(2) model, O(3) model can be solved to state-of-the-art precision.
