Abstract:

In the last decades, neural networks and quantum fields have been at the heart of progress in artificial intelligence and fundamental physics, respectively. In this talk I will unite them under a common statistical framework, introduce the importance of symmetries, and describe how techniques from quantum field theory can be utilized to understand symmetries of neural network densities.
