Abstract:

Brane systems provide a large class of gauge theories that arise in string theory. They fit in a geometric object called the affine Grassmannian. In this talk I review how one can associate quivers to transverse slices in the affine Grassmannian and how this can be used to study moduli space of gauge theories.
