I am currently a faculty member at the Department of Computer Engineering, Mersin University. My journey in academia started when I completed my B.Sc. in the Department of Computer Engineering at the Fırat University, Elazığ, after which I joined the Department of Computer Engineering at Çukurova University, Adana as a Research Assistant in 2007. I was appointed Assistant Professor of Computer Engineering at Çukurova University in 2013 after I completed my Ph.D. in the same year. I have been working at Mersin University Computer Engineering Department since 2015. In 2020, I was promoted to Associate Professor of Computer Engineering at Mersin University.
My research centers on the areas of machine learning and natural language processing (NLP). I am highly engaged in applying AI-based algorithms alone or hybridized with other algorithms to engineering problems. My work also extends to parallel computing algorithms.
