CIBI User meeting 2018, Berlin

Welcome to the 2nd CIBI User meeting 2018!

The German Center for integrative Bioinformatics welcomes you to Berlin for our 2nd CIBI user meeting, taking place from the 19th - 21st September 2018.

Save the date!

Recent years have revealed a strong demand and showed the potential that lies in the integrative analysis of multi-omics data combining methods of computational biology, biomedicine, bioinformatics and bio imaging.

The Center for Integrative Bioinformatics (CIBI) of the de.NBI network is a collaborative project of OpenMS, SeqAn, KNIME, MASH and DAIS, which provides state-of-the-art software tools and platforms for the respective domains and integrates them in the KNIME® Analytics Platform. With this strong combination of tools, data scientists can enrich their workflows with multi-omics analysis and investigate complex and large data sets with modern data mining algorithms.

In this meeting we will bring together data scientists and analysts from proteomics, metabolomics, genomics, and image analysis. This is an ideal opportunity for people of different fields to come together and discuss about common problems and approaches in multi-omics analysis and research.

If you

  • want to learn more about these possibilities of multi-omics analysis,
  • if you have data and want to learn how to extract the information you need, or
  • if you want to contribute to our endeavour with new ideas in the field of multi-omics,

we cordially invite you to join our meeting and take part at the discussions or present your work.

We will offer a dedicated tutorial track to get acquainted with our software tools and to demonstrate their use in the context of the KNIME® Analytics platform. The tutorials will cover typical tasks in genomics, proteomics and metabolomics as well as image analysis and enable you to start with your data-driven investigations immediately.

In addition, we will setup bring-you-own-data (BYOD) sessions, where you can bring your data and meet the developers and other scientists to discuss and implement solutions for analysing your own data.

The program will be complemented with key notes and talks from researchers in the field that give you new insights in the most recent development of our tools and show you demonstrations of current projects using multi-omics analysis.

Registration is open until 12.09.2018.

You can find the most important information in the navigation bar on the left. Otherwise do not hesitate to contact us.

We are pleased to meet you in Berlin.

Yours sincerely,

The CIBI-Team
