Chunli Dai, Ph.D.
Geodesy Geophysics Remote Sensing
Welcome to Dr. Chunli Dai's Group
Dr. Chunli Dai is an Assistant Professor at the School of Forest, Fisheries, and Geomatics Sciences (SFFGS), University of Florida, with a specialization in geodesy, geophysics, and remote sensing. She received her Ph.D. degree in Geodesy at the Ohio State University in 2015. Dai’s research interests include the use of various satellite remote sensing techniques to understand Earth’s dynamics and its processes under climate change, and to address interdisciplinary engineering and scientific problems. She is particularly interested in developing novel computational algorithms using big data sets from contemporary geo-sensing systems to study natural hazards, such as landslides, volcano eruptions, and earthquakes, as well as coastal vulnerability to sea-level rise.
