I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Artificial Intelligence Graduate School at the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) with Dr. Gunhyuk Park. During my studies, I worked as a visiting Ph.D. student in the School of Computing and Augmented Intelligence at Arizona State University with Dr. Hasti Seifi.
My research interest is at the intersection of human-computer interaction, computational interaction, and haptics. Specifically, I am focusing on computational modeling of user haptic perception and interaction, as well as simulating user actions in user interfaces and input devices. My research goal is to develop a virtual twin that perceives and interacts with the world in ways similar to humans, in order to support perception and actions in various applications within HCI and to accelerate the development of user interfaces and input devices.
I love research discussions and collaboration. If you would like to contact me, please feel free to email me at chungman.lim@gm.gist.ac.kr
