Tsung-Hsien Liu received his B.S. from National Taiwan University, Taiwan, in 1988, and, Ph.D. from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA, in 1998, both in electrical engineering.  He joined the Department of Communications Engineering, National Chung Cheng University, Chiayi, Taiwan, in August 1999; and, he is now a professor. He also served as the chairperson for the Tainan Chapter, IEEE Communication Society, from 2018 to 2019. His research interests lie in the application of statistical signal processing techniques to wireless communications, with emphasis on developing fast implementation algorithms, designing baseband hardware architectures, and analyzing statistical performance for the multiple antenna baseband receivers. 

智慧型天線實驗室:

本實驗室研究重點在無線通訊基頻收發機的系統設計與硬體實現，以IEEE 802.11a/g/n/ac 基頻收發機為平台，訓練學生從基頻通訊系統的訊號處理演算法入手，學習開發MATLAB 與C-Language 軟體模擬程式、撰寫Verilog 硬體描述語言、下載到Xilinx FPGA 硬體模擬，甚至以Design Compiler與SoC Encounter軟體作特殊應用積體電路(ASIC)設計與模擬，完成基頻收發機的雛型設計。這幾年，在4G、5G、甚至後5G時代，隨著正交分頻多工(OFDM)與多輸入輸出多天線(MIMO)技術的發展，本實驗室學生特別鑽研OFDM 與MIMO-OFDM通訊系統基頻收發機的硬體設計與實現，顯示本實驗重視熱門前瞻的通訊技術，也培養務實研究的通訊人才。
