What is a Personal Web Presence?

A personal web presence can contain any or all of the following:

• Website that uses your own, custom URL so people can easily find and remember it (www.yourdomain.com).

• Multiple, Custom E-mail Addresses that make an impression and are easy to remember (yourname@yourdomain.com).

• Digital Business Cards that eliminate the expense and hassle of giving out paper cards and make it easy to get your information into others' contact lists.

Why would I want a Personal Web Presence?

There are lots of benefits to having a personal web presence. Each person will have their own reasons that may be personal, business related, or a mixture of both. Here are some possibilities:

• Get myself noticed in order to advance my career or get another job 

• Promote my small business

• Highlight my hobbies and/or interests

• Call attention to my special interest group, school or charitable organization

• Keep my family and friends informed about what's going on in my life while avoiding the hassles of traditional social media outlets (promote family events, post Christmas letters, etc.)

Doesn't it cost a lot?

The answer is absolutely not. There are many no-cost or low-cost options that can be used to accomplish your goals without breaking the bank while still maintaining that custom look and feel that comes with your own web site and domain name.

Can't I do it myself?

You can, but it will take a LOT of research and effort to get things set up initially. That's the hardest part, and that's where I come in.
