My name is Wanying, a Ph.d candidate studying in Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering, Indiana University. I major in Informatics (Complex network & system track) and minor in Cognitive Science.  My advisor is YY Ahn. We are working on narrative-related research with USC team (Dr. Kristina Lerman) currently. I hold a B.A. in Information Management and Systems from Wuhan University (2015) and an M.A. in Informatics from Wuhan University (2018). 

My research revolves around narrative discovery, specializing in the design of computational methods for extracting narratives from raw text. Her work delves into understanding how narrative features impact political campaigns on social media and addresses gender bias in news. For more detail, please check google scholar page.
