The intercontinental qualification play-offs finished on 23 February 2023, and therefore all spaces in the final competition have now been finalised - with Haiti, Portugal and Panama securing the last three spots.

I wanted to refrain from having to post here as I believed opening a case and following EA's guidelines on account bans was the best way to proceed, however I'm starting to not think that anymore. I just received an email about 2 hours ago stated I'm banned for life from all past, current and future FIFA's after opening a case for a seemingly unjustified ban 3 days ago. I have been playing FIFA (specifically FUT) for the last 7 years. I have moved platforms over the years and I am now back on PC. I had several issues on the preorder release night getting my game to load. The usual "EA AntiCheat bug" that crashes the game on boot was my issue. I have an IT background so I immediately was troubleshooting and resolved it by giving admin rights to Origin and FIFA 23. Once I got into game I was immediately having controller issues. I am on PC and I was playing with my Xbox Elite controller, somehow it kept defaulting to keyboard and mouse and randomly popping up the "xbox keyboard window" when I was tabbing out and back into my game. In some cases my controller would just stop working altogether mid-game. I was googling all kinds of controller issues and read about Origin having a hard time detecting controller. I read that the best way is to boot your game through Steam as it won't have any input issues with the controller that way. Now keep in mind I bought the game through Origin but Steam has a way to add games to it's directory that aren't purchased through Steam. Once you do this it will use Steam to boot your game from the added directory so that you can get proper controller detection. I used this method to boot my game but then I was running into some EA Anticheat issues again with it crashing on boot. I was eventually able to play a match and after the game decided to not use my Xbox Elite controller as it was still having issues. I switched to an old Xbox One controller and proceeded to play a few days in Seasons and Rivals. Most of my rivals games were duo matches. Now there was a night where I was raiding in MMO with friends and during some down time between raids while were waiting I attempt to boot FIFA and run the skill mode games while I wait. (This put me running both Lost Ark from Steam and FIFA 23 from Origin simultaneously.) It worked for a short time before crashing FIFA. At that point we were proceeding in our raid so I didn't give it another try. The next day I was talking to a friend who plays on PS5 and he said he got a welcome back pack in FUT for playing FIFA 22. I didn't get one but last year I was playing on PS4 and this year I am on PC. I read online again about how if you PS4 account is linked to the EA account with the same email as your Origin it will give you past years credit. I changed my email that morning to the one that matched my PSN account that was linked. Shortly after that I played 2 matches with a friend before taking a break. I got on at the end of the day to my ban message which is attached. Now it claimed to have sent me an email explaining the situation. I never received an email. I filed a case which was a hassle and never got any insight to the fact people were taking it serious until I called the EA phone number for support. Their customer service was able to confirm my case was under review for the next 10 days. Finally, today I received the email basically stating I am banned for life for cheating.

Now considering the fact my teammate wasn't banned from the duo games there is no way I was banned for my gameplay or things that happened INSIDE the matches I played. That leaves only ways I could of been banned. It was due to adding FIFA as a directory in Steam and booting it from Steam even though it was purchased in Origin. Now if EA is claiming this is against TOS I don't even know what to say other than I feel scammed. They sell the game on Steam there is no way this could be an issue. The other problem is the possibly of EASY AntiCheat from Lost Ark interacting with EA AntiCheat and somehow EA AntiCheat didn't like that. I think this is the most likely one, but once again I don't believe it's against TOS. The last possibility being the email change triggering the ban which again I can't possibly see how it's against TOS.

Anyways, I feel so scammed. After years of FIFA playing FUT and spending an embarrassingly large amount of money on packs. Playing various EA games for over a decade with no issues for bans what so ever. I am now stuck here with a ban for all past, present and future FIFAs and the case system doesn't allow me to discuss the findings or the possibilities with any of their ban team. If there was at least some way to communicate in the ticket or chat with a representative from that team I feel like this case would go much differently but because of the anonymity of the situation they can just write me off as a cheater and not deal with me. I've been a loyal customer that's never had any account infractions for over a decade. This is not only insulting but a terrible way to treat customers.

TLDR: Did anyone who got banned add FIFA to the steam directory? Or have controller connection issues or change their email?

I would love to know if others out there are in the same boat. Curious to how many people they are banning that lacks explanation.

i as well got banned from FIFA permanently for "cheating" i don't ever speak on forums or anything cause I just don't do that kind of thing but I'm losing hope so I searched if anyone had this problem and it seems like they do, I got banned for cheating as i said before and i have never cheated ever in a game or in a FIFA game , I play online friendlies with friends make drafts open packs and recently like this year I got into ultimate team with friends , i got banned randomly my record is around 30-11-50 or even higher losses and lower wins I'm not good at FIFA and it doesn't make sense that they think I was cheating I'm not the best at this game i just like to play it with friends I wasted around 50usd on FIFA points and around 100 pre ordering the game to play 3 days earlier... my origin is Arleyvstheworld and I just wanted to type this so anyone out there who is wrongfully banned knows they aren't alone. and before anyone asks yes i have emailed an appeal my email back was they "confirmed" I cheated on FIFA , doesn't make sense knowing the record of my FIFA 23 ultimate team and knowing my record in the FIFA before this FIFA 22. i don't know what's wrong but its annoying that I cant play anything but career mode on FIFA. here is the image of the email I received I wish they could search through the persons pc because I don't have any hacks at all

Internationally, association football is governed by FIFA. Under FIFA, there are six continental confederations: AFC, CAF, CONCACAF, CONMEBOL, OFC, and UEFA. Of these confederations, CONMEBOL is the oldest one, being founded in 1916. National associations (e.g. The FA or JFA) are responsible for managing the game in their own countries both professionally and at an amateur level, and coordinating competitions in accordance with the Laws of the Game. The most senior and prestigious international competitions are the FIFA World Cup and the FIFA Women's World Cup. The men's World Cup is the most-viewed sporting event in the world, surpassing the Olympic Games.[6] The two most prestigious competitions in European club football are the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Women's Champions League, which attract an extensive television audience throughout the world. Since 2009, the final of the men's tournament has been the most-watched annual sporting event in the world.[7]

Association football is one of a family of football codes that emerged from various ball games played worldwide since antiquity. Within the English-speaking world, the sport is now usually called "football" in Great Britain and most of Ulster in the north of Ireland, whereas people usually call it "soccer" in regions and countries where other codes of football are prevalent, such as Australia,[8] Canada, South Africa, most of Ireland (excluding Ulster),[9] and the United States. A notable exception is New Zealand, where in the first two decades of the 21st century, under the influence of international television, "football" has been gaining prevalence, despite the dominance of other codes of football, namely rugby union and rugby league.[10]

These ongoing efforts contributed to the formation of The Football Association (The FA) in 1863, which first met on the morning of 26 October 1863 at the Freemasons' Tavern in Great Queen Street, London.[37] The only school to be represented on this occasion was Charterhouse. The Freemasons' Tavern was the setting for five more meetings of The FA between October and December 1863; the English FA eventually issued the first comprehensive set of rules named Laws of the Game, forming modern football.[38] The laws included bans on running with the ball in hand and hacking (kicking an opponent in the shins), tripping and holding.[39] Eleven clubs, under the charge of FA secretary Ebenezer Cobb Morley, ratified the original thirteen laws of the game.[37] The sticking point was hacking, which a twelfth club at the meeting, Blackheath FC, had wanted to keep, resulting in them withdrawing from the FA.[37] Other English rugby clubs followed this lead and did not join the FA, and instead in 1871, along with Blackheath, formed the Rugby Football Union. The FA rules included handling of the ball by "marks" and the lack of a crossbar, rules which made it remarkably similar to Victorian rules football being developed at that time in Australia. The Sheffield FA played by its own rules until the 1870s, with the FA absorbing some of its rules until there was little difference between the games.[40] 589ccfa754
