Chromora is a browser extension developed by Area13 Studio that analyzes colors from webpages and user-selected areas of webpages.
When a user explicitly starts an analysis, Chromora may process content visible in the active browser tab, including a captured image of the visible webpage or a user-selected area of the page.
This processing is used to:
Extract colors and generate color palettes
Calculate contrast values
Generate palette information
Provide mood and trend insights
Create exportable analysis results
Chromora may also process the title and URL of a webpage when an analysis is performed so that recent analysis results can be identified in the extension's local history.
Website content and browsing-related information are accessed only when necessary to provide a user-facing Chromora feature.
Chromora uses Chrome's local extension storage to store information such as:
User preferences
Plan and usage-limit information
Recent palette and analysis history
Page titles and URLs associated with analyzed pages
Locally generated analysis results
License key and license activation information
This information is stored locally in the user's browser so that settings, subscription access, and recent results can persist between sessions.
Chromora does not continuously monitor browsing activity or create a general record of websites visited. Browsing-related information is stored only in connection with webpages that the user explicitly chooses to analyze.
Paid Chromora plans use license keys to verify subscription access.
When a user activates or verifies a Chromora license, the license key and a license-instance identifier are securely transmitted to Lemon Squeezy's licensing service for validation.
This information is used only to verify whether the license is valid and which Chromora subscription plan it belongs to.
Area13 Studio does not use license information for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness assessment, lending, or unrelated purposes.
Payments and subscriptions for Chromora are processed by Lemon Squeezy.
Chromora and Area13 Studio do not directly collect or store complete payment-card information.
Payment and transaction information entered during checkout is handled by Lemon Squeezy in accordance with Lemon Squeezy's own privacy and security practices.
Chromora does not sell user data.
Website content analyzed by Chromora is not sent to Area13 Studio for advertising, profiling, data brokerage, or other unrelated purposes.
License information is transmitted to Lemon Squeezy only as necessary to activate, validate, and manage paid Chromora access.
Other information may be disclosed only where required by applicable law.
Chromora does not continuously collect browsing history, keystrokes, mouse movements, scrolling activity, or general browsing behavior.
Chromora accesses webpage content only when the user starts an analysis or selects an area of a webpage for analysis.
For analyzed webpages, Chromora may locally store the page title, URL, analysis time, and generated results as part of the recent analysis history.
Users can clear Chromora's locally stored analysis history from within the extension.
Other locally stored Chromora information can be removed by clearing the extension's local storage or uninstalling Chromora.
License information may also be managed according to the applicable subscription and licensing options.
Chromora is designed to minimize access to user data and request only the permissions necessary to provide its features.
License validation requests are transmitted securely using HTTPS.
Chromora does not publicly disclose authentication information, license keys, or payment information.
Chromora uses user data only as necessary to provide and operate its disclosed user-facing features.
Chromora's use of information is intended to comply with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
This Privacy Policy may be updated when Chromora's functionality, data practices, or applicable legal requirements change.
The latest version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
