Using the power source of rubber bands,the task is to create a model that will launch a ping pong ball into a 5 gallon bucket from 10 feet away. With a maximum model size of 18’’ W x 8’’ D x 16’’ H, teams of two were to design and construct a model using the power source of rubber bands that would perform the task stated before within the allotted time period. Each team will demonstrate the efficiency of their mechanism to the class and instructor. The aim is to have the most effective model to perform in the competition, and the team that shoots the most ping pong balls into the bucket with accuracy shall be crowned the winner.
