In 2023, Napa Stand Up! was postponed as PPNorCal redirected its resources towards the launch of the new Napa health center campaign (I was additionally responsible for designing their promotional materials and organizing pop-up events in support of this initiative).
My goal was to build on the success of the 2022 event season by creating even more engaging content for 2024, including postcard invitations, digital marketing materials, and updated sponsorship forms tailored to the event's specific tiers.
I chose a bright pink color scheme to maintain the festive atmosphere from previous events, which resonates well in an upscale fundraising context that benefits reproductive access and care. Pink, combined with contrasting dark blues, creates a striking yet sophisticated visual identity that stands out in the save the date materials with the addition of soft blur and glowing accents to give the design a polished, modern feel. The event was held at The Culinary Institute of America at Copia, so I aimed to reflect its upscale ambiance without being overtly themed around food and wine, a common but overused motif in Napa. By avoiding cliché elements like grapes and wine, I ensured the design felt fresh and simple, aligning with the event's high-end yet forward-thinking nature.
The event was once again a success, with the design capturing the upscale and sophisticated atmosphere of both the venue and the cause, while also setting a strong visual tone for future events.

I was tasked with creating printed materials for PPNorCal's major fundraising gala in Napa, an outdoor event held in the spring.
My responsibility was to design a cohesive and impactful visual identity for the event, including the logo, signage, and event program.
I chose a muted yet vivid color palette of blue and orange with a complementing cream color to reflect the natural outdoor setting while maintaining a sense of elegance and vibrancy. The logo I designed was well-received, and the staff requested its reuse for future events. For the event program and signage, I opted for a simple design that would complement the stylish outdoor venue. I selected a bold, heavy font to emphasize the "Stand Up!" theme, highlighting the event's urgency and importance. The program also incorporated bid paddle numbers on the back for the auction, a feature that carried over from previous events.
The event was a success, and the design made a lasting impression, establishing a strong foundation for the 2024 "Stand Up!" event. However, I received feedback to avoid portrait orientation for the programs in the future, as the vertical orientation made the bid numbers difficult for the auctioneer to read. This insight will inform improvements for upcoming events.
