As most of you have probably seen, the events from August 14th through August 16th played out before the whole world's eyes. President Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. announced that he would be removing all U.S forces from Afghanistan in April. Seemingly following the plan set forth by former President Trump, Biden's plan shifted priorities to simply leaving by the deadline of August 30th. Unfortunately, this plan has led to the abandonment of the Afghanistan military, and in the end, the complete takeover of Afghanistan by the Taliban.
How, in a matter of days did the Taliban completely erase the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan? How could the United States yet again make the same mistakes it made over two decades ago? What President Biden did was put forth a terrible and lacking plan to leave Afghanistan. As of right now, tens of thousands of contractors, Americans, Afghanistan special forces, former officials, translators, and those who helped us are in danger of being executed by the Taliban.
I think we all saw that video of the U.S Air Force plane riding on the runway with all those Afghans running along the field. It was a terrible sight which made us look like dumb fools who are inept. And it really is true that the United States military is losing its strength, this sad excuse of an exit plan only solidified that notion.
Biden was on vacation during this whole crisis. It took him hours of media scrutiny by CNN to leave Camp David to go to the White House to address the American people on the crisis in Afghanistan. During the speech he spoke as if this whole thing didn't matter, that he had no choice but to leave. Biden is the President; he can do whatever he wants. Yet, he decided to rush to judgement on what would happen. He actually once said in April that he didn't see Afghanistan falling to the Taliban. But now, four months later, he changes his mind. Afghanistan was "inevitable to fall to the Taliban" said the President after Afghanistan collapsed.
Now it is clear, the U.S will do nothing to stop the Taliban. So now the question is, what will the new government do?
The first thing that will happen is they will be setting up all offices of government, this process is currently underway. The Taliban will put their people into each department to ensure total control of all government agencies. Next, the Taliban will likely announce a new constitution, declaring the new Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. More than likely, the new government will mirror the original Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan which ended in 2001. The Taliban will also enforce Sharia law.
Women's rights will be degraded in Afghanistan. Women will have to cover up when out in public, only wearing lighter clothes when in private situations. Women will not be able to organize as they have, and their faces must be covered. Businesses will be run by men, and fewer women will hold positions of directive and control. Education will be tainted, providing less education for poor people and even worse education for females.
One good outcome is that birth control and body choice will be diminished. However, it is likely women will not be able to choose who will be their mate. More and more men will also probably have more than one wife.
Christians will be under a risk of being mistreated or possibly executed. This all depends on how the law sees them. It is unclear whether persecution will prevail but it may be likely as the most extreme Islamic groups do see Christians as part of the western civilization.
The most decisive thing the new government will do is ally with China. It is inevitable they will do this. China has already expressed public interest in the new nation. China also wants Afghanistan’s natural resources and opium.
As soon as China allies with the new Afghanistan, America will be unable to go back into the country once terrorism reaches the United States and its allies. As you should know, Afghanistan will be a terror- haven. If we ever tried to attack Afghanistan or anyone within it, maybe even enter Afghan airspace, China will threaten us with nuclear warfare and will see U.S involvement in Afghanistan as an act of war. Tensions will rise and may result in proxy military conflict. The most likely thing is that President Biden will strike down any movements to attack Afghanistan or terror groups within them so this outcome is not realistic.
In the end, the U.S is going to do nothing about the new terror threat. If Biden does not go back into Afghanistan and remove the Taliban from power, there will be a new permanent terror-haven that will be backed by China. There will be no way to stop terrorism around the world. If you are still skeptical of whether or not the new Afghanistan will be a terrorist state, look no further than the past. During the original Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, the Taliban made the nation a terror-haven. The people who conducted the plane crashes into the Twin Towers in New York City on September 11th, 2001 were Afghanistan recruits. Other attacks had formations and planning done within the IEA. It is inevitable that we will experience an increase of terrorism within the United States because of Taliban control of the nation.
You may also be thinking: just how are the terrorists going to get in our nation? Its simple, look no further than our southern border, it is completely open to anyone who wishes to enter. President Biden in his first few months in office stopped border wall construction, stopped deportations, and made policy changes which allowed again for free incentives paid for by American taxpayers. The result of this is the massive ongoing surge at the southern border that is only expanding each month. To date, over 1.3 million people have come into our country illegally since Biden changed border policy, and the number may be double that since there are pocket holes that exist due to increased pressure on slim border patrol forces. This should be a concern to all Americans, as terrorists can come in through routes where they will never be found or apprehended.
Furthermore, the Taliban will close their borders. The people within the nation will be trapped completely. This will ensure that the people do not try to escape Afghanistan. This also ensures that anyone who does “escape”, also known as the people the Taliban want to leave will be sent over as family units to the United States, or simply get in through undetectable routes. These individuals would be used as terrorist splinter cells. This is just common sense. There is such a big hole in our legal system, and a hole in our southern borer (left by Biden cancelling the remaining wall construction) that we cannot handle the situation.
Now, what then will we see? Since the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan will be legitimized by China, our border is wide open to everyone to enter illegally, and we have a President who started it all. It is possible, very much so, that we could be seeing a September 11th, 2021 attack. It would be the perfect plan. The date is perfect, our country is wide open, and it would deliver a decisive blow to America, telling them that the terrorists are here and are ready to diminish our values and safety. Furthermore, NYPD is completely unable to do their job due to Mayor Bill De Blasio's policies, the gates are wide open. Though I am hoping that this will not happen, it is likely it will. You see, terrorists had to work for years to get their guys in the country to pull off 9/11. But now, everything is so broken down that they can just simply walk in with as many guys as they want.
It's not just the United States that is at risk of terrorist threat. Third-world countries, European countries, and countries in Africa are in danger of small organized terrorist attacks. But the even worse threat, the Taliban has an air force.
Yes, this is a little known fact; the Taliban has full access to the former Islamic Republic of Afghanistan's air force. Many of these planes would make their air force a small equivalent to the U.S Air Force from a few decades ago. Sophisticated military equipment, 100's of military aircraft, and even U.S technology is all in the hands of the Taliban. Also, we paid for most of it. President Biden said that he hopes that the Taliban uses the aircraft for defensive purposes, but we all know this is a lie. Your the President, you don't hope for something to go well, you make sure things go well! And now that the Taliban has access to these military capabilities, they could easily invade a small country or nations around them especially when China is easily keeping them safe from any U.N retaliation.
Our nation and the nations of the world are no longer secure. We are back to the same position we were in the 2000's when weak leadership failed to eliminate the ongoing terrorist threats. But now, this situation is even worse. We have a President who doesn't care, military leaders who are inept, and a diminishing foreign policy advantage. I pray that God will keep us safe from these terrorists; I hope that Biden gets his act together and sorts this thing out before China legitimizes the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and when that happens, there will be nothing we can do to stop terrorism.
