CHRIS FORD
BLAINE CITY COUNCIL
Dedicated to Service
Dedicated to Community
Words From Chris Ford
Since April, I've been knocking on doors across ward 1, meeting residents and hearing their thoughts about our community. One question I occasionally get is, “Are you a Democrat or Republican?” My response: “Hi, I’m Chris Ford, running for Blaine City Council. I’m not a politician but here to work for the interests of the people in Ward 1, not a political party. I’m here to bring a different approach to local government.”City Council is a nonpartisan body representing everyone in our city, not on party lines or special interests like we see at the state or federal levels
I believe in respectful, honest, open conversations, even when we may not agree. Collaboration leads to the best ideas, because solutions come from diverse perspectives working toward a shared goal. As a firefighter and union leader, I fought for fair wages, quality of life, and basic human dignity—values that mean everyone deserves a safe, thriving community.
In my 21 years as a firefighter, I never asked someone if they were Democrat or Republican. As a union leader, I worked with members across the political spectrum. As a city council candidate, I’m proud to have support from Democrats, Republicans, Independents, and those who are unaffiliated.
My approach is simple: local government should serve all residents. Let’s work together for real solutions on key issues like public safety, infrastructure, and smart economic development.
My promise to you: as your city council member, I will bring a professional skillset built on a career of public service to the table that all residents can be proud of in their representative.
Vote November 5th!
