The weather can still be very changeable, so come prepared for warm sunshine or snow! One of our favourite events of the year is the Kimble Point-to-Point. This is a real country day out. We take a picnic, walk the course and watch the racing. Spectators get an excellent view of the course and this very popular meeting attracts a big crowd, resulting in an excellent atmosphere. There are bars, food and a host of trade stands, cake stalls and fun for all the family.
Point to Point racing at Kimble on Easter Saturday
With spring underway and the bluebells starting to come out, April is a great month for getting out and enjoying the Chilterns, on foot, bike or with a pint in your hand watching some racing.
Take a walk to the Barn Cafe at Turville Heath (2 hours), or a lovely circular walk through Turville, Fingest and the Bluebell Woods (3-4 hours). We have mapped both routes for you, so pick up a map and pop your boots on.
Keen cyclists have a choice of two Sportive routes starting at the picturesque Chiltern Valley Brewery in Fawley, just above Hambleden.
There's more point-to-point racing at Kingston Blount and for those keen on a 5Km Fun Run, Ibstone is launching it's own through the Wormsley Estate called the Ibstone Circle.
Finally, for those who enjoy adrenaline sports, there's 'Tough Mudder' which is great fun to watch if you don't want to take part. All these activities are within 10 minutes of Cholsey Grange.
