Chollette Olisah is the founder of PredXIMed Inc. (pre-launch), a start-up pioneering the creation of novel algorithms and frameworks for AI-powered medical diagnosis. Currently, she is spearheading the ideation, planning, early stage development for the smooth sailing of PrecXIMed. Prior to this, Dr. Olisah took up a research focused position as an RF at the University of the West of England (UWE), Bristol, United Kingdom. Her role interfaced with several UWE industry partners cut across Medicine, Agriculture, Auto-mechanic, and Manufacturing as a principal investigator/technical lead in a consultancy capacity. Later she focused on driving AI in healthcare research where she develops computer vision and machine learning algorithms for accelerating medical diagnosis with particular interest in bringing about breakthrough solutions for neurological diseases, diabetes, and, providing AI interventions for advancing care and well-being of older adults. As a Senior Lecturer in Computer Science department at Baze University, Nigeria, Dr. Olisah actively engaged in research and teaching in the areas of computer vision and machine learning. In 2020 She served as the Head of Postgraduate Research for the Computer Science Department and at a later time she was appointed the HoD of the Computer Science Department. Dr. Olisah received a PhD in Computer Science with specialization in Image Processing and Pattern Recognition, and an MSc degree from the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Johor-Bahru, Malaysia, in 2015 and 2011, respectively. She obtained her BSc degree from Anambra State University, Uli, Anambra State, Nigeria. Her research interest is in image/data understanding and analysis, data modelling, computer vision for intrinsic pattern representation and learning, machine learning, deep learning (architecture design and optimization). She has received several research funds as principal investigator and researcher by funders such as Innovate UK, Cancer Research UK, National Composite Centre UK, GCRF/BBSRC, Royal Academy of Engineering, Government of Malaysia FRGS, Belron International Ltd. She has published numerous scientific journals, book chapters and conference papers and serves as academic reviewer for several reputable journals.
