Choir fundraiser

It was a great night of Music and we enjoyed a beautiful 3 Course Dinner and heard the vision for the future.

Thanks to West Tradies Club, Blacktown City Council, Blacktown Lions Club, Mr Minute, Easy Go Connect , Shalvey Pharmacy and 90 other friends of the choir...

We raised $6000 for the future programs.


Here was a great event to do some fundraising for one good day that leads to another. On one great night, we invited some friends and community leaders to invest in an amazing social capital and assets for our future. We heard from the Choir and some Musical friends from Sydney, There was a mix of people from our 50 events in the last year to have a great auction and see the programs go from strength to strength. Also a percentage of the nights takings went go towards our Relay for Life Cancer Council Team for Blacktown.

Mt Druitt Indigenous Choir was formed in 2010 for a Christmas show and have been singing ever since honouring the elders past and present by learning their language and bringing everyone together. They received a Zest Award in 2016 and a Commendation Certificate from the Mental Health Commissioner in NSW for their work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in Blacktown. www.onegoodday.org.au

Where the tax deductible money will go:

$1200 ($23/wk) goes to help 3 Indigenous staff for 1 month @$100/wk.

$2500 ($50/wk) pays for registration and insurance for bus.

$1000 ($20 per wk) goes a long way to provide food for 1/2 children per event over the 50 events a year.

$5200 ($100 per wk) goes toward general running costs.

$96 ($7/mth) pays for emphasis on each of the 7 indigenous wonders with new language songs, elders interactions and strengths programs.
